Oprichting van A.T.I.B.

A.T.I.B. is founded in 1972 (Italy) to solve internal logistic questions by developing, designing and manufacturing fork-lift truck additional parts. Until 1980, A.T.I.B. focusses mainly on the national market. In that year A.T.I.B. grows to the national market leader. The introduction of the “side shifter” in 1986 with a broad range of vision for the fork-lift truck driver is a revolution in the fork-lift truck market. To offer a larger range of products to the market, A.T.I.B. creates a new branch: A.T.I.B. Electronica. This company will focus on the development and production of electronics, such as battery chargers.

Internationale groei van A.T.I.B.

Vanaf 1990 gaat het bedrijf naar het buitenland om een grotere winst te genereren. Nog geen 2 jaar later wordt het eerste buitenlandse kantoor in Frankrijk opgericht. Tussen 1997 en 2005 kent A.T.I.B. een gestage internationale groei dankzij een sterk netwerk in Europa en in de rest van de wereld. Het succes wordt mede bepaald door een exclusief (distributie)contract dat A.T.I.B. haar partners aanbiedt.

A.T.I.B. als oem-leverancier

Als één van de marktleiders voor add-on producten is het bedrijf een belangrijke OEM-leverancier voor verschillende grote merken. Daarnaast beschikt A.T.I.B. over een groot internationaal netwerk van commerciële partners. Het succes en het goede imago van het merk A.T.I.B. heeft ook een nadeel. De onderneming is gedwongen het merk in 2008 internationaal te registreren. Dit moet gebeuren om de productie en verkoop van niet-officiële A.T.I.B.-producten te voorkomen.
